This auction is for a rare 45rpm vinyl record.
It features -

Released in 1964.
Label - Fontana.
Matrix Number - TF 480.
Other notes - THE HIGH NUMBERS - Although formed in the summer of 1961, it was not until two and a half years later that Shepherd's Bush / Acton based group The Detours had built up quite a local following, but it was the first half of 1964 that brought a name change to 'The High Numbers', and the Mod image of checked jackets, cropped hair, cycling shoes and tee shirts. The line-up of Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend, John Entwhistle (who had used the name John Johns during the Detours period, but now became John Allison) and new recruit Keith Moon, replacing Dog Sandom on drums, cut their debut single 'I'm The Face' / 'Zoot Suit'. Apart from articles in 'Fabulous' and 'Disc' and 'Record Mirror' the single did little, and other tracks cut at the same time like Bo Diddley's 'Here 'T' Is' and Holland Dozier Holland song 'Leavin' Home' remain unissued.
Originally issued as part of the Fontana Singles Box Set 'Hits And Rarities - Volume 1' in the late 80s.
The record company sleeve is in Mint Condition.
The vinyl record is in Mint Condition.
