THE HOLLIES – King Midas In Reverse
ORIG Parlophone DEMO 45 / R 5637 (UK, Mono, 1967)
Very happy to offer this original UK Hollies demo with a release date of 22.9.67 – one of their most ambitious singles of the era! Rare but also happy to report I can bring this to you in very fine condition indeed!
The green and white ‘A’ labels are in great shape. ‘KT’ stamped to the A side. Worth noting there are a couple of lines on the B labels which don’t break the paper but are noticeable. Other than that NO writing, residue, tears or damage. (See photos).
The vinyl is superb. The B side is totally unmarked at M- (Mint Minus). The A is also terrific, just a couple of faint scuff lines (soft and short) with NO impact on play. There’s NO scratches, no embedded dirt, disc sits flat with no warp. EX+ (Excellent Plus) for the A.
IT HAS BEEN CAREFULLY LISTENED TO and sounds superb – NO sounding problems either side. Full, clear and with near silent run-ins.
Rare demo in well above average condition. 50 years old soon but looking a lot younger!!
