Description
My Uncle has one of the best record collections ever from the 1960s/70s and I will be listing them for him by group / artist over the next couple of months. First up The Hollies with 25 LP`s in the collection including rare early pressings and promos. These will all be listed for 7 days with NO RESERVE, I have been a member for 5 years now and have 100% positive with over 400+ items being bought and sold.
I will give the best description of condition that I can and I will offer a refund for any item that does not live up to the description I provide using UK Rare Record Price Guide grading criteria . I always grade my records to the highest possible standards with either a (+) or (-) for added accuracy. Please bid with confidence for the rare items that I will be selling this week. THE HOLLIES - STAY WITH THE HOLLIES 1964 LP (UK Parlophone PMC 1220) RARE MONO UK Original early pressing on the Yellow & Black Parlophone label with the `Gramaphone Co. Ltd.` and `Sold In The UK. This is one of the very early pressings and the whole package is in great condition with fantastic audio quality.
Matrix numbers
Side 1 = XEX 459-1N Side 2 = XEX 460-1N
Outer Sleeve Condition
The original front laminated Tri-Flipback Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve is in great condition with NO seam splits, NO Rips, NO Writing etc and the spine is in great condition, Some slight creasing to laminate on front noticable under light but overall a great example of this classic LP sleeve, graded EXCELLENT
Label Condition
The original Yellow and Black Parlophone Labels with `Gramaphone Co Ltd` & `Sold In The UK` published 1964 are both in EXCELLENT to NEAR MINT- condition, with only a few very light spindle marks noticable in strong light.
Original paper inner sleeve also in EXCELLENT to NEAR MINT- condition
Vinyl condition
This original early pressing is in great condition and has a lovely dark, glossy sheen to the surface and has had very little use, There are NO scratches or marks on the vinyl, The LP has been carefully handled and professionally stored over the years. Overall it is in EXCELLENT condition, A fantastic opportunity to get a top class LP in this excellent condition. Upgrade now as LPs like this do not come up for sale that often.
Audio Condition
I have just played the LP and can confirm that the audio is great and I would like to be able to keep it for myself now as some great tracks which I had not heard before!! The sound is what you would expect from a quality 60`s early pressing, In between the tracks there no noise, no clicks, no sticks or jumps. This copy play grades at NEAR MINT
