• CONDITION -
  • Sleeve - EX, with only very minor signs of age; has a very small bend in bottom right corner, 3 TINY lines/'crinkles' by the top seam and the merest hint of 'storage' outer rim record-shaped impression by top and bottom. All very minor indeed and otherwise fine.
  • Vinyl - the record has hardly been played, twice at the very most. It was sent to me by a mate in Northern Ireland who is name-checked on the insert and who was partly responsible for the album being released and it's in the same condition as I received it 18 years ago! There are a few very light 'hairline' surface marks on each side and also the pressing is a little 'streaky' in places but THIS IS HOW IT WAS FROM NEW! (not damage!). Nothing major at all and otherwise fine.
• OTHER DETAILS - a very rare original 1994 LP complete with 12" x 12" lyric insert AND an A6 sized 'cuttings' insert, the debut album from Belfast band The Holsteins on the German label Bullet! Records. For fans of C86/Indie-Pop bands such as The Rosehips, Shop Assistants, Siddeleys and The Popguns, with perhaps a very small hint of The Cranberries and The Primitives thrown in for good measure. A tough one to find!

  From my own collection, which I am reluctantly in the process of cutting right back. Plenty more well looked after Indie, Punk, New Wave and US Hardcore/Grunge stuff to follow.

GRADING

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played a number of times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the maybe some occasional light scratches. If there is any surface noise it will be occasional, light and unobtrusive. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has obviously been played a lot and while it still plays through OK, it will have a lot of surface marks and/or light scratches (maybe also the occasional 'feelable' scratch) and most likely there there will be regular and noticeable surface noise. The cover and contents may suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine and/or seam splits, discoloration, etc.
