HOT ROD ALL STARS - MOONHOP IN LONDON (A) SKINHEAD MOONDUST (B) ~ UK 7" REGGAE. Condition (EX) VERY RARE PROMOTIONAL 1970.
I HAVE ONLY EVER SEEN TWO COPIES OF THIS RECORD ON EBAY PRICED @£300+ . THE SINGLE I HAVE IS IN FAR BETTER CONDITION THAN THE OTHERS. STARTING BIDDING AT £199.99
Clearing out the loft the other day I came across a box of vinyl records which I have had since the late 60's. I am not a record collector, in fact I haven't even got a player, but I remember as a ten yr old being given these records by a schoolfriend whose father used to be in the record industry. I have been told that some of them are quite rare and as they have no sentimental attachment I am putting them up for sale. These records have all been played ( but not since 1972 at the latest ) and are mainly in excellent condition. If anything I have undergraded the condition. Most of my 45's come in generic white sleeves ( see photos for the ones that are ). Some I have managed to look up the value and have priced them accordingly, however the vast majority I haven't a clue about, so for the ardent collector you may be able to spot something that I have missed. I use the Record Collector's grading system giving condition ratings for the Vinyl as follows:
Near Mint (NM) - A nearly perfect record. Has more than likely been played few times or not at all, and the vinyl will show no imperfections during playback.
Excellent (EX) -The record shows some signs of having been played but there is very little lessening in sound quality.
Very Good (VG) - The record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Good (GD) - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.
