Description
BEAUTIFUL CLEAN CLEAN COPY - NO signs of being played -
Great record, historical as well; Produced by Sam Phillips (Sun Records) who was leasing the recordings to Chess label - I found the history of this recording fascinating.
My history of getting old records is important to this record; we bought out an old closed up Mom and Pop not so large record shop in NYC back in the 70's - Hundreds and hundreds of new 78's (also 45's and LP's) in original boxed cases and up on racks - The shop only sold new records, which we boxed and stored for all these years, until recently I will pull out a couple cases and list them. I guarantee the records are as described - I only sell new records.
I don't think you'd find a cleaner NEW copy of this 70 year old record. Labels clean and crisp, NO spindle marks on the labels; only slight imperfection are two light scuffs on the "A" side which are surface scuffs; very common to see those on 78's. Notice the little TAG that is glued on to the upper left corner of the original sleeve "1479" the Record shop commonly did this to easily locate a record that was on a rack. Most of the records from the old shop has these paper tags. This record has no signs that I can see it was on a turntable; I do NOT test play the records either (no need to anyway) and it's obvious the record hasn't been retailed.
I pack these delicate beauties with great care - bubblewrapped and boxed and protected by 1" rigid foam board both sides - Never had a DOA. Fully insured and shipped USPS Priority mail - usually 2 day delivery after shipped.
