1968 UK ORIGINAL PRESSING on ELEKTRA 'RED (Orange)' label. STEREO VERSION. FULLY LAMINATED GATEFOLD COVER + INSERT. The cover is in VG(+) condition: normal wear BUT slightly worn/bumped/dents on spines/corners (especially on top), creases on edges, surface ringwear/edgewear, surface hairlines/marks on front/rear, left spine is fully readable; for details see photos. Vinyls (with some hairlines) in VG+/EX, sometimes NM condition (some clicks or mild crackles, especially on B3-B4) and sound great. RARE DOUBLE ALBUM VERSION EDITION.

NOTES: Released on a Red Elektra label with black lettering and Elektra logo.
Gatefold sleeve laminated on all sides with lyrics printed on the outer sides and photographs in the inner.
An insert with a poem of Robin Williamson ("The Head") was included.
Similar to another UK version. Present version has Published By on labels in two lines, while similar version has one line.
Note on the labels: The title is "Wee Tam And The Big Huge" on all four labels, and the four sides are named One, Two, Three, Four.

Originally issued as a double LP set in 1968 in the U.K, Wee Tam & the Big Huge was split into two LPs for the U.S. market in 1969. What sets these records apart from the previous albums is that here the Incredible String Band accepted their mantle as a band, letting the excess fall by the wayside and actually writing "conventional" songs without giving up either their love for arcane music and quirky humor or the influence of LSD culture that informed their artistic venture from the jump. Wee Tam & the Big Huge is not the innocent journey of a host of lost hippies in love with making weird, wonderful music from the wreckage of the distant past. Instead, the mysticism of the then-present era of the 1960s is fused together with progressive and ancient British Isles folk styles to produce a startlingly focused work. Ultimately, Wee Tam & the Big Huge is the sound of a band coming into its own...(AllMusic)
