It is absolutely guaranteed 100% genuine, unlike ‘autographed’ copies of some other Jam items that turn up on eBay from time to time. For example, the ‘SNAP’ album, which was released after the band split (as you know), but which was somehow ‘autographed’ by all three members in the same gold pen, despite Buckler more or less disappearing for years. Ask yourself this: how did someone just happen to have the same pen on them when they managed to ‘bump into’ all three former members of The Jam? I think we all know the answer to that one…Or like the ‘autographed’ Elvis or Beatles LPs that were released after the deaths of Elvis and Lennon.

I am not going to waste my time or anyone else’s trying to sell fake autographs. These were obtained at the same time outside the City Hall way back in ’78 and are the genuine signatures of Weller, Foxton and Buckler as they were then. OK…this album was well-loved back in the day. My mate was in his teens, it was the ‘70s (man!). He loved The Jam. And he played the record. I make no claims for it to be mint because it’s not. It's the autographs that are of interest here; the vinyl is easily replaceable.

The vinyl has some surface marks and a few small light ‘scratches’ visible but nothing serious at all. It still retains a nice overall sheen. See the photos; there’s nothing to hide. I haven’t play tested this. Why would I?

The sleeve has edge and corner wear but the autographs are all fully intact – see the pictures.

The inner sleeve is in very good condition.

Frankly, if you’re buying this to play, you need your head examined. It’s the autographs that matter. Genuine, fully-autographed items by The Jam aren’t that common.
