Description
Over the next few weeks I will be listing titles from another really nice jazz collection.
The albums are generally in really good condition and have been carefully looked after over the years. Some although played quite a lot still sound really fine! The majority are original issues from either the UK or the USA. Some are rare early stereo pressings. Some are seminal contemporary jazz issues while there are also a number of fine British jazz releases.
Enjoy!
ART BLAKEY'S JAZZ MESSENGERS
Title~A Night Live at Cafe Bohemia
195
Rare original Blue Note first issue with RVG stamped in run~out.
Considering the Lp is over 50 years old this is a strong VG+ copy and having played it and listened carefully the heavy vinyl press sounds really good~see below for more detail.
Cat No~ BLP 1507
OVERALL CONDITION
SLEEVE~ VG/VG+
(slight front storage wear ~see scan + thin bottom taping + split right hand bottom corner)
VINYL~looks VG+ / plays at least VG++
Surface marks but NO deep marks and no clicks throughout play~~ apart from some run~in noise and some surface noise over the spoken introduction this Lp sounds really good and I am sure you won't be disappointed
GRADING : I grade records firstly visually and sample aurally for overall sound quality. Should you feel I have misgraded please remember that I offer a full NO QUIBBLE refund or agreed price reduction if I am off the mark.
NEAR MINT (NM)~~a top copy~audio listening and visual grading has not revealed any imperfections. Lp is guaranteed to sound superb and shows very little sign of playing.
NEAR EXCELLENT (EX or EX+)~~careful visual inspection audio sampling has not revealed any major imperfections such as clicks or skips~~the LP should sound superb and it will be hard to find a better copy. Sleeve and any inserts/inners are in excellent shape. You will not be disappointed.
VG+~~ audio listening has revealed some limited surface noise (especially at run~in groove and towards start of each side) or the odd crackle. Visually the Lp may have light scuffs but nothing major though has obviously been played a few times. Sleeve might have light creases or minor ringwear or spine wear but nothing too serious.
Overall the Lp and sleeve are still quite acceptable and a better copy may never come along!
STILL PERFECTLY PLAYABLE AND STILL A VERY ACCEPTABLE SOUND!!
VG~~not great and may have surface noise but I will flag up this grading rarely. Probably worth it for rarity value.
Postage ~~Unfortunately UK postage charges have increased (10~15%) recently so I have had to add on a bit more~orders over £25 will be sent registered in the UK and INTERNATIONAL SIGNED FOR or TRACKED (where available) world wide. It costs a bit extra but I am sure you will agree it is worth it.
Postage discount will be applied to 2 or more purchases.
All orders guaranteed professionally packed.
