This record is in very good condition. It has lots of spindle marks visible on the labels but no scuffs, pen marks or severe fading anywhere. There is also wear around the centre holes(mostly on side 2) which has caused them to be a little loose. They are not a disaster however and overall the labels are clean, bright and in decent shape but with the wear and spindle marks as mentioned.
As for the vinyl itself, both sides are free from anything deep or really nasty but do have light surface scratches, sleeve scuffs, marks and wear visible in normal light. There is nothing deep or sinister however but there are light lines/scratches and clear signs of use and its age. All these lines and signs of use clearly show under bright light along with more light wispy lines, but again there is nothing really deep or sinister evident. Despite being clearly well used it still has a decent shine and is free of really serious marks as I say.
I play tested the record and it plays well overall and still produces enjoyable audio which although not pristine has no really major issues. It lays flat on the deck and upon playing there is only a minor amount of movement in the record arm. The audio has some light surface noise in places and also a few light clicks in places but overall it, in my opinion, easily grades as VG. There are no skips or sticks and the majority of the audible clicks occur right at the beginning of side 1 in track 1. These last for around 20 seconds of the opening track and can be heard. They are not massively loud but are clearly audible. Luckily they pass soon enough and the audio continues through with decent quality. It is not pristine and has mild surface noise in places along with the odd splutter or noise. However I still think it plays to at least VG level and I enjoyed the whole play test(bar the few clicks in the opening passage).
The front laminated sleeve is in very good condition. It has wear to the edges and corners(pics), but the writing along the spine is all still legible. There are no splits anywhere on the sleeve but there is a 1" area on the top edge which is weakening. There are no scuffs, tears or pen marks anywhere but there is considerable age related discolouring and grubbiness to the rear. There is also age related creasing to the laminated front and some general age related wear all round. Overall a solid sleeve with no major structural problems but one that shows its age and has considerable discolouring to the rear. I have tried to describe it as best I can but please study the pictures provided to gain as much information as possible as to its condition.
It contains its original 'Use Emitex' inner which is in very good condition. This has age related discolouring and some creasing but no splits or pen marks.
The record will be packaged in cardboard stiffeners and bubble wrapped thoroughly when dispatched. It will also be sent in a brand new protective plastic sleeve, and within 24hrs of receiving payment to try to ensure a swift delivery.
