On offer today is the original 1965 UK issue of The Johnny Burnette Story LP on Liberty records!
Issued in the USA in 1964 and the U.K. in 1965, This LP is a compilation of Johnnys catalogue of hits he recorded for Liberty records from 1959-1964 before his untimely death in April of that year due to a boating accident. The artwork was fashioned in the same idea as the increadibly successful 'Eddie Cochran Memorial album' from 1960, None of the Rock n Roll Trio songs are on here (probably because they couldn't licence them from Coral records,) But as it stands, it's a thoroughly excellent album! Classics like 'Dreamin', 'Girls' and 'God, Country and my Baby' make this very worthwhile! Very hard to find as an original UK issue but here it is!
This is the original 1965 uk 1st pressing MONO issue (LBY 1231) on the Black / Silver Liberty label complete with original flipback sleeve and Emitex inner! Check out the photos!
Sleeve Condition : VG++ (The Garrod & Lofthouse flipback sleeve itself is in fabulous condition with very little wear at all, laminate is glossy! No rips, tears, stains or anything. A very nice example!
Record Condition : G (The record on the otherhand is very well used with lots of surface marks light and heavy, I've play tested the record on both sides twice and to be fair it plays much better than it looks! Only very mild crackle can be heard, The only issue is though on side 2 track 1 'I've got a lot of things to do' there are about 7 skips on that track, mind you, I might benefit from a professional clean but I'll leave that to you. Altogether not a bad player! Only the one track has issues. A good playable copy to enjoy!

• MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
• EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
• VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
• GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
• FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
• POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
• BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
