Offered for sale is an unplayed, still sealed, stereo copy of the second album by the J's With Jamie – The Remarkable J's With Jamie, Columbia CS 8849

The J's With Jamie just might be the most famous vocal group you've never heard of.  While they released only four commercial albums, two for Columbia and two for ABC (as Jamie and the J Silvia Singers), they recorded countless commercials which were heard on the radio and television throughout the 1960s.  In fact, for about ten years, they recorded twenty five to thirty commercials per week!  A couple of promotional albums exist with recordings of those commercials, and both their popular material and commercials are terrific.  They did have one non-LP single, Yoshiko, that sells for quite a bit of money when it turns up for sale.

The album is straightforward pop, with Jamie on vocals with backing vocals by the J's – Joe Silvia, Len Dresslar and Marshall Gill.  An audiophile-quality recording, as were most of those issued by Columbia in the 1960s, this LP features fat, wide stereo and is simply a joy to hear.

THE RECORD

This record is still sealed in the poly inner sleeve, and is believed to be unplayed and perfectly mint. The record is a stereo, first pressing on the Columbia label with 360° stereo printed in black.  Matrix numbers end in 1B, which is indicative of a first pressing.  The record is still sealed in the poly inner bag, with the tear off tab still in place.  In short, this record is new and unplayed. Most copies of this record were pressed in mono; we estimate that mono copies probably outnumber the rarer stereo copies by about a 10:1 ratio.  This album has never been available on compact disc.

THE COVER

The cover is in M- condition, and has the tiniest bit of wear on the corners near the spine.  Aside from that, it's nearly perfect.

If you're looking for a great pop album and an incredible stereo recording, you'll love this LP.  You simply won't find a better copy for sale, ever.  This one is your final upgrade.
