Description
This is an original FIRST UK pressing of the classic 1964 self titled debut album from the Kinks
On the Pye label - ref NPL 18096
Matrix runoffs NN 1096-A1T // NN 1096-B1T stamped with the 1's corrected by hand etch to 2's on both sides
I have checked this out and its in keeping with previous auctions of first press - have a look on Popsike if unsure
The record is an EX - there are a few light surface marks and the odd crackle but nothing to worry about
Labels ae clean and free from writing / marks - though there is some spindle wear
The cover is a front laminated flip back Garrod & Lofthouse - grades VG/EX, a few light creases, spine is nicely readable and mostly square.
A little corner wear to the bottom right and a couple of slight dings to bottom left
the rear has a little ringwear and some discolouring due to age
In all a great copy of a very rare album now half a century old!!
