THE KINKS - ARE THE VILLAGE GREEN PRESERVATION SOCIETY
1968 PYE LABEL ORIGINAL FIRST UK MONO PRESSING WITH GARROD & LOFTHOUSE OUTER LAMINATED FRAGILE GATEFOLD SLEEVE IN GOOD CONDITION WITH VERY GOOD SLEEVE. HAS A SKIP ON THE TRACK VILLAGE GREEN AND PLAYS WITH LOTS OF CRACKLE AND POPS SO NOT SUITABLE FOR THE FUSSY COLLECTOR.

Released in 1968, I am offering today this rare MONO first pressing of this stunning concept album from THE KINKS which is titled "ARE THE VILLAGE GREEN PRESERVATION SOCIETY". The vinyl looks quite worn as it is showing lots of scratches and scuffs but apart from a solitary skip on the track VILLAGE GREEN the album plays well but has lots of crackle and pops so is not suitable for a fussy collector. Still for someone that does not want to pay £700 + for a nice copy this could be for you.
This album comes with its original Garrod & Lofthouse fragile outer laminated gatefold sleeve which is cleaner than most with no splits, stickers or unwanted writing etc but has a sticker tear on the inner gatefold. Usually you find these sleeves are very worn due to their fragility. This is a better than most example with fully legible spine, still better than 90% of what you see offered these days.
The album comes complete with its generic white inner sleeve which is quite clean.
