THIS IS A TEST PRESSING FOR THE 2012 LIMITED EDITION DOUBLE VINYL REISSUE OF THE KINKS CLASSIC ALBUM 'ARTHUR' WHICH THEY ISSUED WITH THE MONO VERSION ON DISC ONE AND THE STEREO VERSION ON DISC TWO.
ONE OF ONLY 10 TEST PRESSINGS PRODUCED,THIS MULTI COLOURED VINYL EDITION WAS MANUFACTURED IN SEPTEMBER 2011 IN READINESS FOR RELEASE FOR THE NOVEMBER RECORD STORE DAY OF THAT YEAR. HOWEVER THE COST OF THE MULTI-CLOURED 'SPLAT' EFFECT VINYL WAS DEEMED PROHIBITIVE AND THE ALBUM WAS PUT BACK UNTIL THE SPRING RECORD STORE DAY OF THIS YEAR WHEN IT WAS ISSUED IN A NUMBERED RUN OF JUST 500 COPIES IN PLAIN 'WHITE VINYL'. THIS IS CONSEQUENTLEY A ONE-OFF AND A SUPERB RARITY FOR ANY KINKS COLLECTOR.
