Rare UK STEREO EXPORT original

**********************************************************

Here is my second copy of this EXPORT edition lp.

A rare edition of a great early release!

The KINKS were, like The WHO, a leading Mod band, making RnB and Garage pop rock into a vital British form!

They stayed on the Pye lable for the 1960s, where their pop took on a somewhat more sophisticated psych style as the decade went on - the Swinging 60s were an astonishing period for imaginative music and fashion!

Ray Davies with brother Dave essentially laid the way with tough mod sounds, lyrically direct cockney stories and creative rhythms to carry it all. Indeed Pete Townshend was specific in wanting their style - and producer Shel Talmy - with The Who's first records!

....and what a fantastic lp this one is, from 1966.

A quality fulfilling album of excellent tunes, and great to get into, it's surely one of the early 1960s standout records.

CONDITION;

The VINYL grades VG+

Nice shine with occasional scuffs, and playing with some crackle in quiet parts & between tracks.

Not a disaster, still a good Stereo sound but not a 'top' copy.

PYE raspberry red STEREO Labels are VG- /EX having a line from a turntable weight, the flip shows just spindle marks from plays.

The Single Card Cover grades GOOD only.

The rear is clear & bright, no writing. 3 flipback tabs, and "Patents  pending" on the printer credit (earliest copy).

The 'STEREO' sticker is attached over the 'mono' catalogue number, as UK covers were used and were only made for Mono discs.

Originally there was a Stereo sticker attached to the front, now missing.

There's a tear across the cover at the lower front, this has been repaired on the inside of the cover

This is an enjoyable lp, priced lower due to condition - not for the 'audiophile' collector.
