"Kinda Kinks".....
PLEASE NOTE..Non UK buyers will HAVE to pay tax on this..It's out of my control!.
It's time to have a clear out..I have about 40 interesting and elusive albums to list,so keep having a look!.I can combine post.
Their second album.. With Ray Davies' songwriting ability developing there is a movement away from the solid beat of their first album...With the best yet to come!!..
Tough to find clean playing copies nearly 60 years after it's release!!.
Issued on Pye in 1965..NPL 18112..UK pressing in mono..It comes in a front laminated,full flipback,tapered spine Garrod And Lofthouse sleeve..Complete with Pye company advertising inner sleeve....The matrix numbers are A1/B1...
Overall,both sides of the record look really good with no highly visible scratches or scuffs,still with a great sheen...(A minor hairline on B1 is all)...I am sure that if you examine it under a million watt light you will discover a few hairlines and scuffs (but to my mind if the naked eye can't see them and they don't sound,then they don't matter!).....It plays as good as I expected....No clicks or pops (A little noisey on the track links on side 2 is all..A pro clean will almost certainly sort this out)..It has no edge warps either..To me that's an EX!...Played on a Sure cartridge at 2G..
The labels are undamaged...There is some spindle wear but it's not excessive...This is a record that has had careful play..
The main reason that I am dropping the sleeve grade to VG is because the non laminated back has age yellowing....Otherwise the defects are minor and are as follows....A few light laminate creases..Slight bumps to the opening edge corners..A little wear to the opening edges (Which are slightly grubby as the laminate does not go all the way up to the edge!)...Slightly grubby (but undamaged) flipbacks...There are no rips,tears,scribble or seam splits..Even the spine is unbroken with clearly legible text....VG is a fair grade!..
The Pye inner sleeve has some age yellowing and light creasing/ringwear but it has no seam splits..
All in all,A nice copy of an elusive album!..
