Description

Released in 1965, this is a white label Promotional LP by The Kinks, "Kinda Kinks" (Reprise/Warner Bros. Records R-6173, Mono)---see scan below!

Produced by Shel Talmy, songs are: "Look For Me Baby", "Got My Feet on the Ground", "Nothin' in the World Can Stop Me Worryin' 'Bout That Girl", "Wonder Where My Baby is Tonight", "Set Me Free", "Ev'rybody's Gonna Be Happy", "Dancing in the Street", "Don't Ever Change", "So Long", "You Shouldn't Be Sad" and "Something Better Beginning".

I've been the sole owner of this album since release (I was 10).  My dad worked in radio, and received a box of promos from Warners/Burbank on a regular basis.  While I played this record fairly often as a kid, I always handled it with care, and it still has much of its original sheen, and may have the occasional pop or crackle, but on a quick recent random-track play, I heard no scratches or skips, and feel confident that this record still yields a near mint - to near mint play.

Jacket is in remarkable, near mint shape, as well, with no ring wear and flawless seams. The only flaw is an ink mark "pricing" I unfortunately put on the upper left-hand back jacket corner, just left of the Mono designation---I was an early teen, and during a garage sale, put a price on it (I've since learned my lesson!).  It measures only about a 1/2-inch wide and 1/8-inch tall.  Winning bidder to add either $2.95 media mail or $5.00 priority shipping. International shipping is available.
