Description
Up for auction is a RARE 1965 Stereo Export copy of THE KINKS' 'The Kink Kontroversy' on PYE RECORDS LTD. (NSPL 18131). This EXTREMELY RARE original UK 1st pressing Export copy came with a STEREOPHONIC sticker on the back cover. Furthermore this album has been very nicely signed in-person by original KINKS drummer MICK AVORY in Germany in 2009 with a black sharpie pen. Matrix numbers for this record are on SIDE 1 NSPL 18131 A2 and for SIDE 2 NSPL 18131 B2.
The original front laminated three-flipbacks Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. COVER is still in VERY GOOD condition. The laminated front panel is still shiny with vibrant colours, there are 5 thumbnail creases. The BACKCOVER is still very white and solid with unfaded liner notes, all three flipbacks are intact. There's some light yellowing towards the opening edge. The COVER shows NO unwanted writing (except for MICK AVORY'S signature, of course), NO seam splits, NO tears or other damages, etc.
Both sides of the vinyl RECORD are in VERY GOOD- condition with a number of non-feelable marks/scratches from stylus or fingernails. The RECORD doesn't stick or jump, but there's background noises/crackling throughout. If you're looking for an EXCELLENT to MINT copy of this Export rarity this one's not for you! I stick to the 'RECORD COLLECTOR' grading system (please see below). Satisfaction guaranteed!
Both record LABELS are in VERY GOOD- condition, there are numerous spidermarks around the spindle-holes on both sides and some minor wear around the hole on SIDE 2!
This RARE 1965 Export copy of THE KINKS is still interesting and valuable for any collector for it's clean and solid COVER, that was signed by MICK AVORY!

MINT: The Record Itself Is In Brand New Condition With No Surface Marks Or Deterioration In Sound Quality. The Cover And Any Extra Items Such As The Lyric Sheet, Booklet Or Poster Are In Perfect Condition. Records Advertised, As Sealed Or Unplayed Should Be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The Record Shows Some Signs Of Having Been Played, But There Is Very Little Lessening In Sound Quality. The Cover And Packaging Might Have Slight Wear And / Or Creasing.
VERY GOOD: The Record Has Obviously Been Played Many Times, But Displays No Major Deterioration In Sound Quality, Despite Noticeable Surface Marks And The Occasional Light Scratch. Normal Wear And Tear On The Cover Or Extra Items, Without Any Major Defects, Is Acceptable.
