Sought after early 70’s RCA era Kinks LP. 

APRS 5984-4E  &  APRS 5985-4E   earliest known matrix numbers.

In original card gatefold sleeve printed by Howards Printers. 

CONDITION:       STRICT  U.K. MAGAZINE  'RECORD COLLECTOR'  GRADING SYSTEM USED.  I aim to provide an accurate and honest appraisal of condition.  It’s in my best interests to do so.  I WANT YOU TO COME BACK.    All records are checked in good natural light and play tested IN FULL at a high volume on an original Technics 1210 MK2 turntable fitted with an Ortofon 2M Red stylus (tracking at 1.8g).    Used records are cleaned using a Moth vacuum record cleaning machine prior to play testing, unless condition deems unnecessary. 

Playing condition is, at its worst, VG, but with a lot of the album playing better.  No serious audio faults.  Occasional audible surface noise/crackle on some of the quieter sections.   Occasional audible pops in places.     Overall,  NO distortion  NO jumps  NO sticking. 

Visually the vinyl is graded as VG/VG+.    Some faint surface only marks/scuffs (some quite long on side2).  Nothing that feels to the touch.   Vinyl still nice and clean and retains its original sheen.  

Labels are EX+.    No obvious spindle marks.  Tiny indent on the legal text on side2.   NO writing.   NO stickers.

Sleeve is in EX- condition.   Some small creases.   Corner wear/dinks.   Minor edge wear.  Very small areas of light wear on the front – not immediately noticeable.    All spine text still easily readable.    NO seam splits  NO rips/tears  NO writing  NO stickers.

MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint

EXCELLENT (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG) The record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratches. Normal wear and tear on the cover and extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable

GOOD (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeable deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and or deface

POOR (P) The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing

BAD (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken and is only of use as a collection filler
