Condition Sleeve G / Vinyl VG

Run out groove side one : NN 1096-A2T and a small KT Run out groove side two : NN 1096-B2T and a small KT
Rare original MONO pressing of this classic debut album by THE KINKS released in the UK in 1964 on Pye. This is the first edition with the red Pye labels.
The record plays superb throughout without any skips/jumps just the odd bit of surface crackle between tracks which has no effect on the playback.
Vinyl: Visual. VG. The vinyl retains all of its original just pressed shine. There are a number of hairlines & one tiny scuff  but non effect playback greatly (which sounds remarkable good considering it's age!). 
The Lables: VG. Has quite a few spindle traces but still retains all of its vibrant red colour
The original Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd sleeve is in good condition.The front retains it's strong original lamination and there are no seam splits,there is no writing or tearing to the sleeve at all. it does suffer from some pronounced edge & laminate creasing. The opening edge does have some feathering & the spine is straight, square and legible. The rear is quite grubby with some staining & age foxing (see photographs) .  There is a plain white paper inner which I assume is the original. The sleeve still does the job it was it made for 51 years ago.

Iv`e just listned to the whole of this album.never heard it for years,what a debut from The Kinks plays lovely, a total joy to hear this again.

Record Collector Magazine's Grading Guide:

"MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
