The trio of Kinks' LPs, namely Face to Face, Something Else and Village Green Preservation Society make up one of the greatest sequential releases of art-rock in the history of 60's rock and roll. If Sgt Pepper is the "novel", then these three Kink's great releases are the "short stories." They comprise song after song of wonderful melody and lyric which draw the listener into the realm of Ray Davies' enchanted world. These are three timeless masterpieces of creativity which are essential to anyone who loves the best of the 60's British rock phenomenon.

People don't understand how many fantastic songs the Kinks have. These 1960s records are full of fabulous melodies, chord progressions, songs, lyrics that are Shakespearean in scope - so many different emotions are encased in these collections. Something Else by the Kinks is an unforgettable record that will become presents to my music loving friends this year. My favorites on this are Situation Vacant, Death of a Clown, Love me till the Sun Shines, simply stunning sounds of superbly crafted pop-rock songs.

(b)          The record is believed to come in its original stock inner sleeve.

(c)           The record is apparently pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!

(d)          Stock (commercially released) US mono pressings of this album do not exist

(e)           Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

COVER IS NEAR MINT, STILL SEALED AND COVERED IN ITS ORIGINAL ►SHRINK WRAP

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:

-         Cover has some light ring wear (nothing significant); On the scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and  10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of ring wear as 3  (VISIBLE ON BACK SIDE ONLY)

-         Back cover has circular tarnish (grayish, dust-covered sections, which closely follow the contour of the record),  probably caused by friction or by rubbing against other covers during the storage. The tarnish is similar in appearance to a common ring wear, but, UNLIKE ring wear, these grayish areas may be possible to clean up with a minor effort and with a right cleansing solution.

-        Cover has a small cutout saw-mark (an indent about 3-5 mm long ) on one of its seams.
