THE KINKS: The Kinks In Germany (´65 / very rare orig. German-only LP / (PYE-) VOGUE LDVS 17077 / red-white label / stereo / general info: the title of this LP is a bit misleading, as this is NOT a live LP, as you might presume reading the title - looking back it was one of the typical attempts, which record companies used at the time to sell something as a "new product", that on closer inspection wasn´t new at all, but a collection of tracks, that had been released before / most likely the majority of people did realize, that they wouldn´t get any new (i.e. unheard) stuff here, and consequently the LP did sell in rather "modest" quantities at the time / for many years the LP was regarded as the most collectable of all German Kinks´ LP´s, of course more because of the unique sleeve design than because of the tracks / in "open" wraparound sleeve with plastic protection sleeve (please note: I presume, that there is at least one further sleeve variation in existence, which has the same design, but which was made as a "closed" sleeve, presumably with flipbacks)

DESCRIPTION:
a name has been written onto the left top corner of the back sleeve / this name is only "serious" mistake of a sleeve, that´s otherwise in a really fantastic condition: the corners are (very) slightly bent, but even the rather "sensible" white back sleeve has almost no ringwear / the plastic protection sleeve has a small split in the middle of the spine and also a light ringwear (in the scans above the sleeve is shown without the plastic protection sleeve to avoid a "mirror effect", it´s just the "pure" sleeve!) / the vinyl has some hairlines and slight surface scratches, but there are no deeper "serious" scratches / further the vinyl looks a bit "matt" (lacklustre) on the B-side (...but even though the record is far from being in the same amazing condition as the sleeve, the LP is still in a very nice condition if compared to most other copies of "...In Germany", an LP, that´s usually only offered in a rather mediocre (some say: "well-played"!) condition / as you´ll see in the scans, the labels aren´t 100% clean (especially there are some spindle marks in the center region), but there are no major problemsWHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?
