This is for:The KINKS, ARE THE VILLAGE GREEN PRESERVATION SOCIETY, ORIGINAL UK 1968 STEREO PRESSING ON PYE LABEL, NSPL 18233. An EXCELLENT COPY!

Well, I'd like to talk a lot of this album, as it is one of my favourite ever, but you certainly know about it as much as me. This masterpiece is the Kinks' closest work to psychedelia, but - due to the unwise people that managed its release - was scarcely pressed and distributed, therefore came to be the rarest among original UK Kinks albums. Here you have a truly EX copy that won't disappoint you. 

    

Grading:

Play grade: This record plays super nicely through, with no clicks, pops (obviously no skips or sticks), no distortion everywhere. I played once again (it was my copy) just to ascertain the sound quality. I just listened to a almost inaudible noise between tracks, but believe it was static or a dust remainder. Luckily, the record was provided with its cellophane lined inner and this prevented deterioration from paper scuffs. Consider that PYE stereo pressings are usually very delicate and is not new to me that Nirvana, Velvett Fogg and other sought after PYE albums are often  subject to deterioration and I experimented this with all my other Kinks UK stereo in my collection (if some collector can give explanations or suggest a Record Collector article about, is welcome!) 

Record: The record is absolutely brilliant both sides, nice shine throughtout. No scratches, marks and paper scuffs neither! Under a strong light I could only detect 2 (two) tiny (1/2 mm.) marks and a very light circular hairline, none of which affects playback.

Label: Nice and clean, no writings or imperfection. 2(two) light spindle marks each side. Spindle hole shows no wear and still has a piece of vinyl out from pressing!

Cover:Gatefold, inner opening, EX- shape, just a minimal wear on top & bottom edge, and on upper left corner. You know how delicate is this kind of gatefold cover where the front side is made from a single piece with no edges protections.. Two little bubbles in the front lamination.

Spine: Ex, Wide and perfectly readable.

On the whole, a super nice copy, hard to upgrade. You won't be disappointed.
