1968/Canada/Pye Records NSPL 18233…… here’s a gorgeous original pressing of this rare and excellent lp. The cover is in M- condition with a touch of corner wear, otherwise the cover is clean and solid with no splits or delete! The vinyl is in M- like new Unplayed condition. There is a bit of light inaudible staining from the inner sleeve. I listened to a couple of tracks on each side and it sounded excellent! Nice and clean with clean fidelity! The deep groove labels are clean with no spindle marks. A top copy for any Kinks collection! Please check my auctions for other rock and psych lp's. Good luck and thanks for looking!
The Kinks Are the Village Green Preservation Society is the sixth studio album by the English rock group The Kinks, released in November 1968. It was the last album by the original quartet, as bassist Pete Quaife left the group in early 1969. A collection of thematic vignettes of English town and hamlet life, The Kinks Are the Village Green Preservation Society was assembled from songs written and recorded over the previous two years. Although the record is widely considered one of the most influential and important works by The Kinks, it failed to chart upon release, and only sold about 100,000 copies.
GRADING
MINT: I consider New Unplayed or Sealed items only.
M- or Mint Minus, very clean with clean visual appearance and sound, there may be a couple of light inaudible hairline scuffs or such and will be mentioned in the listing, a Mint- record looks and plays very clean. Same for the cover. Very clean with no delete or other issues.
EXCELLENT: still very collectable for most, visually and sonicly clean. A handful of light inaudible scuffs, or hairlines. Cover will be clean with little wear, or delete. No splits.
VG++ still a very nice copy with minimal wear, the vinyl will retain it's original gloss and can have some minor scuffs/scratches that don't affect play very much. Cover will have slight shelf wear, and or delete, minor split.
VG+ the vinyl will still retain much original gloss with a bit more scuffs and/or scratches I may list a very rare or desirable item with a lower grade, I will try to list all defects.
