The Kollektion was the name of one of the most important local hit bands ever, and it symbolized so much about what we once had in South Florida. The original "Savage Lost" by the Kollektion was unlike any other local record when it was released in the summer of '67 -- it was far more progressive, far more psychedelic, yet retained so much of the wild, raw garage energy of the bands that came before. It also was a huge radio hit, reaching #7 on WQAM, and to this day brings loads of great memories of listening to the radio and trying to figure out what those whacked-out lyrics were!
The Kollektion was an aptly-named band. Several of the members had been in the Shaggs; one had been in Sounds Unlimited; one had been in Dr. T & The Undertakers. Featuring Richie Chimelis and Angel Rissoff on vocals, Gregg Shaw on drums, Bobby Jabo on lead guitar, Mike Latona on bass and the late Richie Borkin on keyboards. They were a "kollektion" of musicians looking forward musically, and it was a nice ride. The Kollektion performed regularly all over south Florida including the most famous of all Miami venues…

SS Still Sealed
Never opened. Flawless, with no damage whatsoever.
M- Mint Minus
Has been opened, but is still flawless
with no damage whatsoever.
NM almost flawless
nm- minimal scuff or a lite paper brush.
VG+ Very Good Plus
Vinyl: May have scuff marks and signs of some wear but
will still play almost perfectly throughout, with only
"barely detectable" crackles or pops. A slight noise at the
begining is allowable, but the remainder must be nearly flawless.
Cover: May only have the slightest signs of normal wear.
VG Very Good
The majority of records (worth selling) fall under this grade.
Vinyl: May crackle, pop or make other annoying noises, but only
occasionally,never continuously, and not more loudly than the
music being listened to.
Cover: Normal used cover wear such as ring wear and split seams.
If there is abnormal damage such as tears or markings,
but the seller still feels that it qualifies as a "VG",
the damage must be described in comments attached to the item.
G+ Good Plus
Vinyl: May have continuous crackles, pops, etc... but not so loud as to
make the music completely unlistenable or unenjoyable to the
casual listener.
Cover: More than normal wear and tear.
