THE KOOBAS 10" metal ACETATE, 45 rpm-mono with 4 songs-2 sided EP on UK-PYE deated 6-11-1966... beat-garage vocal group from Liverpool managed by Brian Epstein... The group was founded in 1962 by members who had previously played in other outfits such as The Thunderbeats, Roy Montrose and The Midnighters. Played at the Star Club in Hamburg in late 63. Opened for the Beatles in first UK tour. Toured with Jimi Hendrix, and The Who but never were successful. Songs on the EP are "Take Me For A Little While" , "Somewhere In The Night", "Make Up Your Mind" and "A Place I Know"... Members were: Stuard Leatherwood on guitar and vocals, Roy Morris on guitar, Keith Ellis on bass and Johnny Morris on drums. This group sounds like the Beatles and The Dave Clark Five..
