VERY RARE MEDUSA PICTURE DISC PUNK ROCK COMPILATION LP FROM 1979
Titled 'THE LABEL SO FAR' - TLR LP 002S, with TLR+LP#002-A2/B2 stamped in the dead wax/run off. The Label Records/Han-O-Disc. At the bottom at 6 o'clock in the black edge is 'A 1979'. The same image is identical on both sides.
All track are punk rock with the exception of 'Rockin' Time Dub' which is more Reggae. It originally came in a clear plastic sleeve with a sticker to the front which wasn't present when it came to me. I've also been told it glows in the dark but I've no idea if that is the case. I wasn't aware what the track listings was so I contacted a dealer a few years ago who gave me the following information. Track List as follows:
Side A - Hospital Case [Front 1978], Outside View [Eater 1977], Justifiable Homicide [Dave Goodman and friends, featuring Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols 1978], Typewriter Babies [Eater 1978], I'm a Liar Baby [Bombers 1978].
Side B - 99% Shit [Cash Pussies 1979], Point of View [Eater 1978], Queens Mafia [Front 1978], Cold War - Drew Blood [Front 1978], Rockin' Time Dub [Tribesman 1978].
I checked the LP over and test played it about 8yrs ago the only things I noticed are as follows: fault and small line on the edge of sideA / track1, and although the needle jumps into that track it plays fine. On side B a small line can be seen half way across the track '99% Shit'. It's about a quarter of an inch long but doesn't affect play. All defects I can see are pictured, there may be others I can't see but they obviously don't affect play as all tracks both sides played fine with minor crackle between tracks rather than during song play. I'm no longer able to test play it now to double check. Owing to the nature of the picture design it's very difficult to detect anything really,so selling as seen. The vinyl seemed thick to me and I've just been told that it's 2 sealed together to show the image both sides, so that accounts for the thickness.
