"Surfs Up / Dance With The Drummer Man" Doc Holiday Records RARE 1963 Surf Rock Instrumental 7" Vinyl 45 with Mega Rare Picture Sleeve! No Reserve!
The Legends - "Surf's Up / Dance With The Drummer Man" Doc Holiday Records 107 from 1963. Super Hard to find Surf / Garage Rock Instrumental Vinyl 7 Inch 45RPM single from The Legends on the Doc Holiday label straight outta Indio, CA... not a lot of surf there! The A Side is a group Original while the flip is a Duane Eddy / Lee Hazelwood cover - good taste! While the record itself is very Rare, the included Picture Sleeve is just about impossible to find.
In nice condition! The Picture Sleeve has ring impression and all four corners are at least somewhat creased. There is a bit of wear along the opening edge. There is a name written in the upper left corner on the back of the sleeve. There is a tiny (maybe 1/8" - 1/4") tear in the very upper right corner on the back side. Still very bright and white with no noticeable yellowing. No splits! I would rate it a VG particularly considering the age! Please note - any marks, streaks or blotches that you may see which are not mentioned in the write up are scanner artifacts, not defects in the record cover... I will list any actual defects! The vinyl is very nice. There are some light sleeve scuffs and a some light hairlines but nothing deep and nothing that affects play. The B-Side has some sort of pressing flaw - there is a light colored spot about and inch long and 1/4" wide about a third of the way into the song. I assume this was just something in the vinyl and while you can see it, it does not seem to affect play. Overall the record is very clean and glossy and should rate at least a nice VG. The labels have a name written on one side and a little bit of dirt but are in nice shape otherwise. Should rate a strong VG and maybe VG+.

Records are graded to the best of my ability to Goldmine Visual standards. If you are not familiar with this grading system (or even if you think you are!), please check it out before bidding I have summarized the important (i.e. I think everyone knows what Mint means) points below in Goldmine's words:
Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK.
Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.
I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over eleven years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them. I guarantee that items I sell will meet my description, nothing more or less! If you are not satisfied that a purchase meets my description, I will do what I can to make it right if you give me the chance and work with me! Please feel free to check my feedback.

I just wanted to clarify that the "Pressing Flaw" mentioned in the description is strictly cosmetic, just a bit of slightly lighter colored vinyl, and does not affect the sound in any way.
