The Libertines Very Rare Self Titled Rough Trade White Label Test Pressing!!
Time to unload a bit of excess vinyl from my collection. I have a lot of unplayed Alt/Indie/Rock vinyl including test pressings, acetates, pic discs etc. Some very rare records coming up so please bookmark my page.
Here is a massive rarity. This is a UK Rough Trade 'Test Pressing' of the self titled Libertines album. I'm a massive Libs fan and the only other one of these I've ever seen come up for sale sold for £206 way back in 2010. Never seen one since so I've no idea what this will sell for (hence why I'm putting it up at auction). Suffice to say they don't come up often. The white test sleeve has the original Rough Trade production labels taped to the front and is date stamped in red ink. It's also has stamped 'Test Pressing Only- Not For Production' in the right hand top corner. It has the RT cat number written in pen in the top left corner along with '180g 1st Press'.  Same is written and printed on the side 1 white label but omitting the '180g 1st Press' text. It has 'x10' on the left of the label which I'm assuming means only 10 were ever run-off . The side 2 label is blank. The disc itself is very cool. It has thick flat cut edges, not factory rounded like on mass production records. The disc is clean and unplayed, there are a couple of spots on it not sure what they are. But it is is a pretty decent state for a test pressing. 
An immense Libertines piece of history and very cool thing to own, will be sad to see this go. It's also an true investment; the price of this will just rise and rise as The Libertines were/are such an iconic band. This one will go quite high but I'm starting it at £3 so everyone gets a shot at it. Good luck!
