Here is an extremely rare original 1978 uk Punk-Mod-Powerpop 45 by the very obscure band 'The Limit'. The A-side is a really superb heavy re-vamp of the 1963 Beatles hit 'Please Please Me', the track is backed by the even better self-penned flipside 'My World At Night', a brilliant guitar-crunching foot-stomping slice of Punky-Mod-Powerpop with a classic hookline. This excellent 45 was basically ignored at the time of release and so sold extremely poorly, but the single now enjoys it's deserved cult status amongst collectors of rare Punk-Mod-Powerpop records. This musically brilliant single is an essential must for the serious collector of very rare Punk-Powerpop 45s.
CONDITION = VG++/EX
Both sides of the vinyl have a really superb original sheen, there are just a few very fine light top surface hairlines on each side, there are no nasty deep marks, scuffs or scratches at all so there are no loud clicks or pops to be heard. This vinyl surface was pretty dusty/dirty when i found this 45, i have cleaned the top surface the best i could so both sides visually grade a very nice excellent clean condition, this 45 plays with some background noise during the run-in's/offs and so could do with a professional deep wet/dry vacuum clean to clear away any dust/grime that has gathered in the grooves, both tracks still play and sound really great with a excellent sound quality but a clean would definitely help clear away any noticeable surface noise. The labels are in very good condition with just a few faint spots. This very rare powerpop 45 was never actually released in a picture sleeve, the original private stock records company sleeve had a few small rips around the centre and also a small edge seem split, so i replaced the original cover for a excellent clean light brown paper sleeve.
