Description
For sale; a very rare LP copy of 'The London Jazz Four... Take a New Look at the Beatles', released on Polydor in 1967. The run-out matrices read '582005 A//1' and '582005 B//1'. An interesting one this; although all the tracks were inspired by Beatles songs, they certainly aren't note-for-note re-makes. In some cases, you have to listen quite closely to spot the Lennon and McCartney original. There's no disguising Yellow Submarine, though...
The album has survived half a century pretty well; there is a bit of wear and edge-creasing on the sleeve; the inner sleeve is similarly in good condition apart from a bit of discoloration. The vinyl is clean and bright, with only a few minor marks. I've played both sides right through; all tracks play reliably with no skipping and only a modest amount of surface noise. It may benefit from a professional deep-clean, of course, after 50-odd years. Auction only on this item, but if you need further details or photos, please ask!
