Description

THE LOVED ONES – MAGIC BOX  LP  33RPM

 

Iconic Melbourne band from the 60’s featuring the soulful gravelly voice of Gerry Humphrys

(former clarinet player with the red onions jazz band).

 

There are 12 tracks in all, including classics like “Blueberry Hill”, “Sad Dark Eyes”, “Ever Lovin’ Man” and many more.

 

The cover is not in great condition with creasing in all corners but for its age isn’t looking too bad (see photo).

 

The vinyl on the other hand is near mint.  I have given it a listen and it sounds wonderful.

Listening to it again transported me back to “That’s Life” and “Opus” dance venues – what a time!
