Up for auction is a ultra rare/scarce 10-inch acetate 45 rpm recording

CONDITION:
Acetate playing surface shows some light surface scratches/scuffs and is in Visual VG (Very Good) Grade condition.

No label / writing identifying the group or even song title, however there is no mistake -- this is one of a number of unreleased tracks from Philadelphia's notorious garage/psych band THE MAGIC MUSHROOMS!

Those familiar with the story know that the band had recorded most of an albums worth of material for A&M records.
The Magic Mushrooms were apparently christened as such by ALLEN GINSBURG, upon visiting the college in Philadelphia that the band members attended. Someone from the band asked Allen G. what would be a good name for their rock band, and he supposedly told them "The Magic Mushrooms")

HERB ALPERT , who was directing the A&M label at the time found out the psychedelic connotations of the band name and had them dropped as they didn't have the clean cut image wanted for the label.
The band never fully recovered from this and eventually broke-up after releasing a few singles with at least cult status from their track "It's A Happening" , being featured on Lenny Kaye's classic garage punk comp Nuggets.

This acetate single was from the collection of 60s-70s Philadelphia and New York City record producer Sonny Casella --- who produced this single!
Some of these acetate singles up for auction were released, but many I've found were most likely never issued!!!
Friends of mine have told me that these acetates seem worthy of compiling for a collection, but time is not on my side. Seems like a worthy endeavor for someone who is willing to make time!
