Description
New York garage band The Magicians 1966 single 45 "An Invitation To Cry" b/w "Rain Don't Fall On Me No More" on Columbia Records 4-43435 in the original Columbia sleeve. The Magicians included Garry Bonner and Alan Gordon who co-wrote numerous 60s hits including Happy Together and She'd Rather Be With Me for The Turtles.
I purchased this record in 1966 and it is from my personal collection. It is not a reissue.
The record is graded "EX" with minor surface noise (see photos).
The Columbia sleeve is in "NM" condition; the song title is written on the top left corner of the sleeve (see photos).
I grade conservatively based on the following criteria:
“SS” Still Sealed – For the collector that demands nothing but perfection.
“M” Mint - a near perfect or unplayed record.
“NM” Near Mint - in factory fresh condition, like new.
“EX+” close to like new with only superficial signs of use that don't affect play. Will satisfy all but the most vain and demanding collector.
“EX” a used, reasonable copy. Shows slight signs of wear.
“VG+” There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility a few skuffs and/or light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but still quite nice.
