THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. ROBERT VAUGHAN AUTOGRAPH + THE GIRL FROM UNCLE ALBUM VG

     This auction is for a TWO "U.N.C.L.E." VINYL RECORD ALBUMS:  "THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E.  --  AND OTHER TV THEMES" AUTOGRAPHED BY ACTOR ROBERT VAUGHAN PLUS "THE GIRL FROM U.N.C.L.E.  --  MUSIC FROM THE TELEVISION SERIES".   I did play-test both albums in their entirety.


    

     Side note;  Back in 2012, I had met Robert Vaughn at the Super Mega Show in New Jersey.  I had some things for him to autograph.  It was actually a little sad though...  No one was around his table.  I asked if he had a helper with him, and he looks around and says "For what!?!"   Ha.     Someday I hoped that his cohort David McCallum may one day make an appearance somewhere to sign.        Unfortunately, no such luck.  And this with David living in Manhattan!  It would have been a hop, skip, and a jump for him to show up at a Chiller Theatre or Super Mega Autograph Show, no problem.      So...I have these albums up for now, and later (not sure when, but before Thanksgiving I imagine) a movie poster and a David McCallum album lot.



1.     "THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E.  --  AND OTHER TV THEMES"  --  This album cover was autographed in the top left corner (pic #3) by Robert Vaughn on June 10, 2012 at the Super Mega Show in New Jersey (I had slipped a small piece of paper in the album cover to remind me when I got the autograph).  Robert passed away in 2016 at age 83, and David MCallum just passed away on September 25.


       The STEREO album catalogue number is MS-544.  Most of the music was performed by Milton DeLugg and his orchestra (Bonanza was done by David Rose & his orchestra). 


     Side ONE is in VERY GOOD MINUS (VG-) condition.  Light scuffing can be seen over a section of the first 2 1/2 songs on side one.  There a VERY slight/small warp on the edge that did not affect playback on my turntable (and I track my needle very lightly).  You can sort of hear a light "thump" for about four revolutions of the album, and then it's gone. 


     Side TWO is in VERY GOOD condition.  A scuff can be seen between tracks 2 & 3 (pic #12), but this doesn't affect play.  There were no skips or any deep scratches on either side, but low tics will be heard on both sides.


     BUT...you're probably not bidding on this for the album itself, but the autograph.  As stated, Robert Vaughn's signature is in magic marker in the top left corner.  


     The COVER is in VERY GOOD condition.  On the front cover, there is some light creasing along the left/closed side (picture #4), and in the top right corner (where it says "STEREO"...see photo #5).  Some seam wear appears on most of the corners and along the bottom edge of the cover.  There is a small 3/8 inch seam split on the bottom right corner (pic #6).  Still, the majority of the cover photograph looks great.

     On the back cover, black shelf wear can be seen throughout (photograph #9 gives an example).




2.     "THE GIRL FROM U.N.C.L.E.  --  MUSIC FROM THE TELEVISION SERIES"  --  This STEREO album catalogue number is SE-4410.  The music was arranged and conducted by Teddy Randazzo. 



       The ALBUM overall is in VERY GOOD (VG) condition.  Some very light scratches can seen, but nothing overwhelming can be heard during your listening experience!  Some light pops and tics may be heard, but there are no deep scratches or skips.  An old fingerprint smudge is evident on each of the labels.  There is a small white paper tear seen on the side one label in picture #23.



       The COVER of this album is in VERY GOOD + (VG+) condition.  It is a fold-out / gatefold cover (pic #14), with photos of April Dancer and Mark Slate inside.  I am fairly sure that this is a promotional copy of the lp.  On the front cover, there is a hole punch in the bottom left corner (photo #15), and the letter "X" is stamped in to the cover in the bottom right corner (with a scratch above the top left section of the "X"...see pic #16).  Some very minor wear appears on each of the four corners (pictures #17 & #18), and there is a small blunt along the top edge (picture #19).  All seams are fine.

     On the top left corner of the back cover, there is a light 1-5/8" crease.  Again, a stamped "X" appears in the bottom left corner (photo #21), and the hole punch is in the bottom right corner.  Some white wear can be seen on the top and bottom edges of the right binding edge.  A few spots of light shelf wear is apparent between the top and bottom photos of Stefanie Powers.
