DESCRIPTION
GENERAL: You are bidding on a top copy of a very rare original 1969 UK DEMO pressing by THE MANDRAKE PADDLE STEAMER on the Parlophone label (R 5780) "STRANGE WALKING MAN" b/w "STEAM" 7-inch 45 RPM single with 4-prong push-out centre. In original Parlophone company sleeve.
Line-up: Martin Briley - lead guitar, Brian Engel - vocals, Martin Hooker - keyboards, Barry Nightingale - drums, Paul Riorden - bass.
VINYL: The vinyl is in fantastic, virtually unmarked, condition. Revealing just a couple of light hairline surface marks side A, but nothing deep or worrying. Does not affect playback. Both sides retain their original bright sheen.
LABELS: The labels are in beautiful condition, nice and clean, with no writing, stickers or tears. and just the one spindle trail side B (see scans). .
CENTRE: The 4-prong push-out centre is fully intact. There is no spindle wear. , SOUND: The record plays superbly throughout, loud and clear, with no hiss, crackle, pops or clicks. Nothing to spoil spoil the enjoyment. Definitely no skips or jumps.
