Description
VERY GOOD+ CONDITION. Just the odd light surface mark and hairlines. No scratches or scuffs or anything serious. Lovely item. Plays beautifully both sides. A rare and genuine gem and a much sought after UK. This hardly ever comes up for sale anymore. This item appeals to many genres of collectors. It's not just a rare UK freakbeat single, it is also of great interest to NAZARETH collectors as well. ORIGINAL PRESSING COMPLETE WITH REPRODUCTION COMPANY SLEEVE. A TRULY RARE UK RECORD.
This was actually a Scottish band, from Edinburgh. The band members were Gerry MacPherson on vocals, Manny Charlton on lead guitar (he sang lead vocals on 'Baby What's Wrong' and would later play with The Red Hawkes and, most famously, Nazareth), Andy Clement on rhythm guitar, Dunc on vocals, Gus on keyboards, Brian Henderson on bass (later of 60s/70s Nirvana) and Harry Carmichael playing the drums. They staged a publicity stunt by walking from Edinburgh to London in 1964. It got them a record deal with Fontana but the single bombed.
