1957 Mono First Press Silver-on-Black Federal Label FEDERAL (KING) LP 581
NOTE: This was the Very First Press on Federal Label with "1" pressing stamp on both sides' matrix. Federal is a subsidiary of King Records, which was used primarily for releases by The Midnighters, The Dominoes & James Brown's Famous Flames. As with most of the Federal (and DeLuxe Label) releases after 1955, the Label is Federal, while the Jacket is King and the numbering matches the King Catalog. Later Pressings were issued with King rather than Federal Labels.
Vinyl: VG+ condition; glossy, deepgroove vinyl; numerous light marks, but none can be felt; no skips, no repeats, no pops; plays very nice, bright & loud with minimal background!
Cover: VG+ condition; the cover is not perfect; seams are sealed with clear tape and there's numerous spots of rub & edge-wear, but it's still square and sturdy, the font cover looks nice and all of the liner notes and catalog info on back cover are dark and fully readable; the only writing of any kind is the name "barb" written small on top right corner of front cover (see photos).
