Bought new from Neptune Records in Liverpool 50 years ago this is the first of the Mike Raven blues compilations for Transatlantic Records.
The 12 track album features well known artists such as Elmore James and Lightnin' Hopkins and some brilliantly obscure artists including Speckled Red, Victoria Spivey and Texas Alexander with his superlative levee camp moan.
Despite its age the vinyl remains in at least very good plus condition and the laminated flip-back sleeve whilst a little grubby on the rear cover is in very good condition.
I would recommend this album to both Blues aficionados and to those who are beginning to explore the genre.
The record will be sent in a new record mailer with cardboard stiffener and posted by Royal Mail Second Class. Please note that I will always post as soon as possible after payment is received (if payment is received by 8.00am I can guarantee to post that day).
