The creation of LA studio maverick Curt Boettcher (the Beach Boys, the Byrds, the Association), the Millennium’s lush, choral pop was the next step after Boettcher’s previous, similarly minded projects, the Ballroom and Sagittarius. Akin to the ambitiously arranged, sunshine-Baroque sounds of the Beach Boys, the Mamas and the Papas, and the Left Banke, the Millennium is pure soft-psych genius.
