THE MIRACLES : Bad Girl / I Want Your Girl. CHESS 1734. (1959.) EX++ Minor mark on label.
Great early pre-Motown sides, produced by Berry Gordy in Detroit, who then leased them to Chess Records in Chicago. Features a young but unmistakeable Smokey Robinson with the original Miracles' lineup. A nice, clean copy on the sought-after dark blue Chess label (usually shows up on the 1964 later issue on light blue label.) ESSENTIAL FOR ANY TAMLA MOTOWN COLLECTION.
'Bad Girl' is a doowop influenced song, 'B' side is a really classic Miracles uptempo performance.
All Records are graded using the standard Record Collector Guide.
GRADING : EX : Some signs of having been played but very little lessening in sound quality. VG : Has obviously been played many times but no major lessening in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratch, scuff or minor surface lines. Plays well. G : Well played, so that sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps some distortion and mild scratches or scuffs. G - :Displays wear and surface noise but no jumps. Ideal for juke boxes.
