Description

THE MIRACLES - " HI WE'RE THE MIRACLES ", Oriole Records (PS 40044) Mono, 1963.

Very rare, original UK 1st pressing of the classic debut LP by The Miracles. Originally issued in the US in '61 on the fledgling Tamla (Motown) label, then finally licenced for UK release on Oriole in '63.

Sadly, this LP turned up in a collection we bought, without any sleeve/cover. Obviously this devalues it greatly, but I thought it might be worth auctioning as is.

Matrix Numbers:

SIDE A = PS 40044 A
SIDE B = PS 40044 B

Professionally cleaned on my Moth record cleaning machine.

CONDITION:

VINYL  =  V.G.- (No really deep scratches/gouges, groove damage, distortion, etc. No spindle trails on the label. A bright grading lamp reveals quite a few faint paper scuffs and quite a lot of surface marks and smaller scratches - some of these sound of playback, some do not. But regardless of this, there is quite a lot of clicking and crackling throughout playback. Not totally ruined by it, but seriously devauled. It's a shame as this record has suffered poor care rather than overplaying - between the clean labels and the clarity of sound between the clicks, it's obvious that this record has not been overplayed. There is no muffled sound or distortion. Of course, between the lack of sleeve and condition of the vinyl I am not expecting much, but with the rarity and spiralling cost of clean original copies of this LP, it seemed worth a punt on eBay.

Note: for the purposes of this listing I have tested this LP on my Linn LP12 Sondek turntable - generally this is quite a critical test, but I must point out that I cannot guarantee exactly how this LP will sound on your turntable - common sense for most... but then this is ebay!!!)

SLEEVE = Nope!

NOTE: I must point out that we are actually a long standing physical record shop, with many decades worth of selling, trading and grading records under our collective belts. Unlike so many of the jokers now selling records on ebay, we know how to grade records. Before bidding, please read my description carefully, decide how much this record is worth to you and place you max bid accordingly. Please also feel free to check out my feedback from the many other successful transactions I have made in the past.

ANY QUESTIONS? PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO GET IN TOUCH!

HAPPY BIDDING!!!!!
