Description

The Miracles (also known as Smokey Robinson and the Miracles from 1965 to 1972) were an American rythm and blues vocal group that was the first successful recording act for Berry Gordy's Motowtn Records, and one of the most important and influential groups in pop, rock and roll and B&B history

"Shop Around" is a song written by Smokey Robinson and Berry Gordy. It became a popular hit in 1960 when originally recorded by The Miracles, reaching number one on the  Billboard R&B chart and number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart

The song was included on a 1961 EP release on the London record label, with "Who's Loving You", "Ain't It Baby" and "The Only One" which failed to sell well in the UK
The tracks were recorded by TAMLA in Detroit - and this original release is record Number RE-1295 with EPMC-40793-1c and EPMC-40794-1c matrix numbers

The London label version is an 'ULTRA RARE' release and now commands a high price
