THE WONDERFUL SLOW SOUL TRACK WRITTEN,SUNG AND PRODUCED BY SMOKEY ROBINSON WHICH SHOULD HAVE BEEN A HUGE HIT IN THE UK!

IT FAILED TO CHART BUT GOT EXTENSIVE UK PIRATE RADIO AIRPLAY!!

One of the first using the Tamla motown label in the UK,before TMG 501, previous releases had been on STATESIDE,ORIOLE,FONTANA and LONDON Labels.

REACHED USA #16 IN 1965.

PLEASE NOTE THIS COPY HAS MANY MARKS,WITH SOME SURFACE NOISE,FAR MORE ON THE"B"SIDE DUE TO VARIOUS"PATCHES"AND MARKS.

THE"A"SIDE PLAYS NICELY WITH MINIMAL SURACE NOISE,AND THE ODD"POP"HERE AND THERE.

A LITTLE DISTORTION AT PEAKS.

I GRADE THE"A"SIDE AS G+++++++, THE "B"AS  F+++++.

THE"A"SOUNDS NEARER TO VG!!!!!!!

 IT WOULD BE GREAT FOR A JUKEBOX!

IT SHOULD BE LOOKED UPON AS A GAP FILLER UNTIL A BETTER ONE COMES ALONG BUT STILL PLAYS GREAT.

I DO NOT NORMALLY BOTHER WITH LOWER GRADE ITEMS LIKE THIS BUT AS THIS IS AN IN DEMAND AND GETTING A RARE SINGLE, WITH MINT COPIES FETCHING AROUND £50 , I CONSIDER £5 IS A BARGAIN START FOR A GOOD++ CONDITION COPY THAT STILL PLAYS  WELL.

THE ORIGINAL COVER IS WORTH ABOUT £3 ON IT'S OWN AND IS NOT A REPRO LIKE MOST AROUND! 

MY G++ IS A "CATCH ALL"GRADING TO ALLOW FOR ALL MANNER OF FAULTS.MY DECK ARM HAS A TRACKING WEIGHT OF APPROX 2 GRAMMES.
