Description

BERT WILLIAMS, the immortal comedian, had a unique recording career, being practically the only Black man in America to record regularly, beginning in 1901. This record, "THE MISSISSIPPI STOKER," came early, November, 1906, and is one of his slyest and funniest performances.  

Here is a scarce first edition: a 1906 single-sided, black and silver label Columbia 3557.  It's in sturdy E- shape, a few scratches and such. Still a lovely copy!
