(Note:  Home of the Hits was a subsidiary of the Bezerkley label)

Very nice copy of a first pressing of The Modern Lovers' eponymous release. 
Disc is a solid VG++ and the cover is a strong VG+ (some edge wear but no
ring wear and for a black cover from 1976, that's is quite unusual).  This copy is a
tremendous addition to any collection.  FIRST EDITIONS of this LP are incredibly
hard to find in good shape.  This LP consists of two different demo sessions
recorded in the early 1970's that were released in 1976 over Jonathan Richman's
objections and is the ONLYRECORDING of the fist incarnation of the Modern Lovers. 
This vinyl recording is the original sound of these first two demos. 

This LP was remastered in 1009 and reissued as a CD. The sound differs significantly
from the original analog recordings.  There was also a 180 gram vinyl reissue which has
been "cleaned up".  The original sounds recorded as early 1970's demos remains only
with the original analog vinyl release.


This LP has been in my collection for 12 years and stored vertically in a smoke free environment.
