THE MONKS: I Can't Get Over You / Cuckoo (´66 / extremely rare orig. German issue of Garage/Freakbeat 7" / POLYDOR-INTERNATIONAL 52957 /  black label with red-silver logo  / The Monks were mostly operating in Germany, in their home country, the United States, and most ozher parts of the world they did remain more or less "unknown" during the band´s short lifetime; so most likely this 7" was only issued in Germany / notable fact: it remains a bit "mysterious", which track is on the A-side and which track is on the B-side: if you look at the p/s, it seems to be clear, that "Cuckoo" must be the A-side, but according to what´s been stated on the labels "I Can't Get Over You" is the A-side)

DESCRIPTION:

there are writings on the top and on the bottom of the frontside / the p/s is overall quite bent, and there are some creases and folding lines, especially at the top / there are a few small tears into the top opening (up to 4 mm maximum length), and one slightly longer tear into the top of the frontside (ca. 8 mm length), that has been fixed on the inner side of the top opening by a clear taping / in the middle of the p/s there´s a slight impression of the record´s center / light to medium-strong ringwear on the backside, only very moderate ringwear on the frontside / the back sleeve looks overall a little bit dirty (even though there are no obvious "specific" stains with the exception of a small and light stain on the bottom in the second "box" from the left)  / the vinyl has some surface scratches (but there are no deeper "bad" scratches; overall the record is in a freqiuently played, but still quite acceptable condition - in other words: the record is by no means a "problem copy"!) / there are writings on both labels (but the writings are barely visible on the black labels)
