THE MOODY BLUES
“LA SEPTIMA MORADA”
(SEVENTH SOJOURN)
MEGARARE and Hard-To-Find original “full frequency stereophonic sound” FFSS London Records very first Stereo press released in Chile in 1974 by London Records, made and distributed by Industrias Eléctricas Y Musicales Odeon S.A. (Odeon Records), licensed from Treshold Records Ltd., through London Records Inc., USA, catalog number (S)LLC-38647, with hand etched matrix numbers XZAL-11772P 1 AAR 1 in Side A and XZAL-11773P 2 1 in Side B with unusual dark grey/silver London “ffss” Records labels. It’s interesting to notice the 1/1 stampers!!! Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER FIND!!!
“SEVENTH SOJOURN” was originally released in November 1972 and we had to wait until 1974 to can see this classic rock album released here in Chile and like usual in that period, we got it with an UNIQUE NON-GATEFOLD COVER made of 2 single pieces of thin cardboard for front and back covers and kept held by an outer plastic bag which’s also part of the cover. Front cover keeps strictly the original artwork, with album title written in English only and additional translation to Spanish. Back cover also keeps the original artwork with the difference here in Chile it’s only brown tinted and with the album title, tracklist and all credits written in the mouth edge side, in the same style it’s written in the inside of original US or UK issue, with album title and tracklist written in English, translated to Spanish (you can see and compare in this link: http://www.discogs.com/Moody-Blues-Seventh-Sojourn/release/502034). In labels, the album title is written in Spanish, translated to English, and tracklist is written in English, translated to Spanish, with full credits for songwriters. It’s interesting to notice that Spanish title for “You And Me”, correctly written in back cover “Tú Y Yo” it’s misspelled in label “Tu Y Yo” (in English “Tú” is “YOU” and “Tu” is “YOUR”) and the song “I’m Just A Singer (In A Rock And Roll Band)”, correctly written in label, it’s misspelled in back cover “I’m Just A Singer IN A ROCK AND ROLL BAND”, without the brackets. So, yes, here it’s another rare pressing of a famous album released in Chile and you have the chance to get and own it, with UNIQUE COVER, UNIQUE BACK COVER, UNIQUE ERRORS and 1/1 STAMPERS!!! A MUST TO HAVE for all fans, lovers and collectors of The Moody Blues and progressive/art rock!!! WOW!!!
The cover was already described and it’s in EX or EX+ condition, complete, with some creases and light wear in corners, clean and clear (the ring mark you see in the back cover isn’t in the cardboard, it’s in the plastic only), free of marks of any kind. The outer plastic bag is present and it’s in VG+ or EX- condition, complete, with only some rips, the more evident in the bottom edge, where the record rests, a bit dirty but it has worked very well protecting the fragile cardboards. The record is in VG- or VG condition both sides, glossy and clean, with many scuffs, hairlines and soft and not so soft scratches of all sizes and in all directions, which amazingly don’t affect play. Labels on both sides are in NM- or NM condition, absolutely clean and clear, with only minimal spindle hole wear. The sound is in strong VG- or VG condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, with a soft background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with light constant crackles and regular soft pops and clicks, more evident in silent parts of songs and between tracks, with also some hiss, more evident in Side B, which don’t cause major distraction from the still loud and clear sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end, most of songs are closer to VG+ condition and sure if you could make an ultrasonic cleaning the sound would get better. Overall, sure this record isn’t for Minty minds or audiophiles, but it still has a very nice cover, almost immaculate labels and a very decent and respectable sound quality after about 46 years, which shouldn’t disappoint anyone who knows the level of rarity of this record. And keep in mind the kind of UNIQUE NON-GATEFOLD COVER only used here in Chile, the UNIQUE BROWN-TINTED BACK COVER, UNIQUE ERRORS and 1/1 STAMPERS!!! Yes Sirs, what a FIND!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the cover and labels in detail.

_________________________________________________________
We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.
MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.
NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK
We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
