Description

Mega-Rare Verve V-5013 Yellow Label Mono “Disc Jockey Record”

ABSOLUTELY FREE – THE MOTHERS OF INVENTION

This is a genuine 1967 pressing for radio stations.

V 5013 &nbspSide 1 &nbspMG 672&nbspare etched into the run-out groove and further to the right 12 is stamped into the run-out.

The label appears near mint and shows small wear around the spindle hole.

The vinyl is lustrous. In normal daylight looks excellent. Under strong indoor light a light scuff can be seen in track one (can’t be felt) and numerous minor handling marks can also be seen.

V 5013 &nbspSide 2 &nbspMG 673&nbspare etched into the run-out groove and further to the right 1| is stamped into the run-out.

The label appears near mint and shows small wear around the spindle hole.

The vinyl is lustrous. In normal daylight looks excellent. Under strong indoor light numerous minor handling marks can be seen.

This is a gatefold cover that opens top-to-bottom (just like Dylan’s “Blonde on Blonde”).

The front cover is in very good condition. It shows some wear in the “white” areas. US covers were not laminated like U.K. covers of the same time period. As a result the US covers easily showed wear which would look as if the cover had been rubbed to some extent (which it probably was over 40 years).

The back (actually the bottom) cover also shows some wear but it's not as evident as there is much less white area.

The inside gatefold is a minimum VG or VG+ with less wear. One minor small stain in the left gatefold.

There is wear at the top and bottom of the spine and some wear along the edges of the spine. There is no splitting.

The album was predominately stored with the left-hand side down.

The left-hand-side seams of the gatefold show considerable wear, but there is no thorough splitting.

There is no splitting at the insert edge nor at the middle of the seam.

Only at the "U" of the left-hand gatefold (where "THE MOTHERS OF INVENTION is in small print is found) does it appear to have the beginnings of seam spitting.

The right- hand-side seams are in very good condition.

The album comes with the original Verve Records "ad" sleeve.

There are no names written on the covers.

There is no radio station id written or stamped on the covers.

There is no WOC or WOL at all.
